What is the FLORE Solid Brass Backplate made of?

Solid cast brass, sand-moulded and hand-finished in the United Kingdom. Every piece is made from a 60/40 copper-zinc alloy — the traditional hardware brass used for over a century. It is a real, solid metal product (not plated, not resin, not hollow).

FLORE Solid Brass Backplate is available in Antique Brass, Matte Black, Satin Brass, and Unlacquered Brass. All finishes are applied by hand in our UK foundry. Unlacquered brass develops a deepening patina over time; every other finish is sealed to preserve the original appearance.

Can I return the FLORE Solid Brass Backplate if I change my mind?

Yes. We accept returns within 90 days of delivery for unused items in their original packaging. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Custom bespoke orders (where we have made a non-standard specification for you) are non-returnable.

The FLORE Backplate is a decorative six-petal flower shape crafted from solid brass, designed to sit between your cabinet knob and the door or drawer surface. It adds a lovely finished border around the mounting point, protecting the surface beneath from wear and giving your hardware a more polished, intentional look.

Available in four hand-finished options: a rich, warm Antique Brass, a bold Matte Black, a soft golden Satin Brass, and a raw, living Unlacquered Brass that develops a natural patina over time. Each backplate is individually crafted from solid brass for lasting quality.

The FLORE's slim profile means it sits flush against the surface without adding bulk, and its playful floral silhouette brings a touch of organic charm to otherwise simple hardware. IKEA compatible, so it works just as well on flat-pack furniture as it does on bespoke cabinetry.
